WORK FOR 1oT AS A

IoT Engineer

Think of 1oT as the Tinder of telecoms. We're transforming the Internet of Things industry with one dynamic connectivity service offering by combining different telecom profiles on a single eSIM card. This lets our customers choose the best option for their particular use case or location without negotiating with multiple telecoms, receiving SIMs from different companies, and managing SIMs across several platforms and APIs.

Our customers are IoT device manufacturers or service providers operating globally, such as e-scooter sharing, fleet management, or smart city companies. Today, 1oT's connectivity services are used in 2 million IoT devices across 173 countries.

We are looking for an IoT Engineer to join our sales team.

You would help debug and test eSIMs with different IoT modules, test new devices, routers, and cellular modules coming to market, and support the team with SIM, connectivity, and other technical questions about deployments. You would also work on extending 1oT's hardware partner ecosystem, validating and supporting sales to build up a Channel Partnership program with original equipment manufacturers.

The position is based in Tallinn (HQ) or Tartu.

What you'll do:

  • Test various IoT modules (from Quectel, uBlox, and others) and routers (Teltonika, Ruptela) for eSIM compatibility and document test results to share with customers.
  • Communicate with our customers to help them with eSIM implementation, and talk with our vendors and partners to sort out various hardware, configuration, and eSIM topics.
  • Support the sales team with hardware configuration and eSIM-related questions.
  • Work closely with 1oT's existing hardware and R&D partners to support the sales team.
  • Organize and manage internal hardware testing processes as well as documentation.
  • Manage 1oT's internal hardware used for testing. This includes technical firmware updates and physically organizing our inventory.

We would like you to have:

  • previous embedded software development/engineering or hardware configuration experience
  • a desire to learn more about the booming IoT sector, eSIM solutions, and IoT modules
  • a hunger to learn and test new technologies
  • excellent self-management skills – micromanagement is not part of our DNA
  • good communication skills – open and transparent collaboration internally and with external partners.

We will offer:

  • meaningful work with global impact – our SIMs are used to track endangered species, safely deliver vaccines, and provide electricity to off-grid households
  • the opportunity to have a say in how things operate – your voice is important
  • personal growth opportunities in an established startup with a proven track record and a long list of paying clients (our eSIMs are used in 173 countries)
  • a crazy and ambitious international team with a no-bullshit attitude – we're eager to learn and get stuff done.
